I wanted this spot for Wittenberg University to feel like a student feels as they grow into student life. It begins at dawn, with trepidation and a little uncertainty before blossoming into scenes of friendship, camaraderie, learning, and discovery. I worked with a very small crew over the course of two days to capture scenes that felt authentic and true to Wittenberg’s intimate campus life. I directed actual Wittenberg students as talent and shot most scenes with natural light. I still feel like this is a great example of what can be accomplished with a small budget and crew on a limited timeline.
